NISSI HEALTHCARE IS AN EXCITING NEW SOCIAL CARE ORGANISATION.

WE ARE SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED SOCIAL CARE MANAGER FOR OUR TALLAGHT
RESIDENTIAL SERVICE.

In this role, you will oversee the placements of Separated Children
Seeking International Protection as they integrate into Irish Society,
whilst also supporting the dedicated team who will be responsible for
their day to day care.

As unit manager you will be responsible for liaising with the
multidisciplinary agencies involved with the young people’s care and
all relevant stakeholders, providing professional supervision to the
team, Managing the budgets and as evidence based practitioners you
will oversee all paperwork generated including but not limited to:

* Placement Plans, Behaviour Support (BSP), and Individual Crisis
Management Plans (ICMP) to address all the needs of the young people.
* You will take appropriate actions to connect the young people with
local resources, network with local service providers, and liaise
closely with families, carers, and referral agencies.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

* A minimum Level 8 qualification in Social Care or a relevant and
or related
* Qualification with 5 years post graduate residential care
experience.
* Relevant alternative qualifications include: Psychology (Level 8),
and Level 7 in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Counselling /
Psychotherapy, Addiction Counselling, Youth and Community Work, Social
Sciences / Social Studies, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied
Behavioural Analysis, Early Years Care (U *
centres only), BA Applied Policing, Higher Certificate in Custodial
Care, Teaching and Nursing.
* A full, clean, manual driving license, valid in Ireland
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Knowledge of the key elements of effective team working
* Knowledge of the Irish National Standards in Children’s
Residential Centres
* Experience of working with young people who present with
behaviours that may challenge.
